Day 1 — Monday, October 11

Campton, Kentucky to Lancaster, Pennsylvania 🚌

We will leave Campton at 6:00 AM and travel to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where we will spend the night at the Tru Hotel. Tonight, we will enjoy dinner at Miller’s Smorgasbord. 🍽️


Day 2 — Tuesday, October 12

Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Portland, Maine 🌅

We will leave the hotel at 7:00 AM and travel to Portland, Maine for a beautiful Sunset Lighthouse Tour. Set sail into the golden hour on a relaxing 1 hour and 45 minute cruise through Casco Bay. As the sun begins to set, you will enjoy beautiful views of Portland’s historic lighthouses, coastal islands, harbor, and skyline.

A knowledgeable guide will provide narration about the area’s maritime history and landmarks while you take in the changing colors of the sky and water. This peaceful and scenic cruise is a wonderful way to experience Maine’s coastline at dusk, especially for photography and anyone looking for a memorable evening. The tour begins at 4:45 PM and ends at 6:30 PM.

After the lighthouse tour, we will check in to our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn, and enjoy an included catered meal. 🏨


Day 3 — Wednesday, October 13

Portland, Kennebunkport, and Bar Harbor, Maine 🌊

This morning, we will travel to Bar Harbor, Maine. On the way, we will visit Portland Head Light, one of Maine’s most iconic coastal landmarks. Built in 1791, it is the oldest lighthouse in Maine and sits dramatically on rocky cliffs overlooking Casco Bay.

We will also visit Bug Light, a charming small lighthouse at the end of the Portland Breakwater in South Portland. From there, we will continue to Kennebunkport, a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, historic homes, scenic harbor, and classic New England atmosphere. We will also drive by the Bush Compound, the famous Walker’s Point family property associated with former President George H. W. Bush and the Bush family.

Tonight, we will enjoy an included meal at Testa’s in downtown Bar Harbor. For dinner, you will have a choice of lobster or ribeye steak. 🦞🥩


Day 4 — Thursday, October 14

Acadia National Park and Jordan Pond House 🏞️

This morning, we will have a step-on guide for a 3-hour tour of Acadia National Park. Acadia is one of Maine’s most spectacular destinations, where rugged Atlantic coastline, granite mountains, forests, lakes, and scenic overlooks come together.

After our guided tour, we will enjoy lunch at Jordan Pond House, a historic and beloved dining destination inside Acadia National Park. Jordan Pond House is famous for its beautiful setting beside Jordan Pond and views of the surrounding mountains. The rest of the afternoon will be on your own to enjoy Bar Harbor and the surrounding area. 🌲


Day 5 — Friday, October 15

Bar Harbor, Maine to Halifax, Nova Scotia 🇨🇦

After breakfast, we will travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where we will spend the night at the Holiday Inn Express Halifax. Halifax is a vibrant waterfront city rich in maritime history, charming neighborhoods, and beautiful coastal scenery.

As the capital of Nova Scotia, Halifax combines historic landmarks with a lively harbor, museums, restaurants, and scenic waterfront walks. 🏨


Day 6 — Saturday, October 16

Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, and Halifax 🌊

After breakfast, we will have a step-on guide for the day as we visit several beautiful Nova Scotia destinations. We will visit the charming fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, where you can experience the rugged beauty of Nova Scotia’s Atlantic coast. You will be able to admire the iconic lighthouse perched on granite rocks, explore the scenic shoreline, and take in spectacular ocean views.

We will also tour Mahone Bay, a picturesque seaside town on Nova Scotia’s South Shore known for its colorful waterfront, charming historic buildings, sailboats, and views of the bay’s famous Three Churches. Mahone Bay offers a wonderful glimpse into traditional Nova Scotia life.

Another highlight will be Lunenburg, a historic seaside town where brightly painted buildings, narrow streets, and a picturesque harbor create an unmistakable Maritime atmosphere. You can wander through the Old Town, discover charming shops and waterfront restaurants, and admire the sailing heritage that has shaped this community for centuries. With its colorful architecture and coastal scenery, Lunenburg is one of Nova Scotia’s most memorable destinations. We will spend the night again in Halifax. 🏨


Day 7 — Sunday, October 17

Halifax, Nova Scotia to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island 🌉

After an included breakfast, we will cross the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island. Confederation Bridge is an impressive 12.9-kilometre, or 8-mile, bridge connecting Prince Edward Island with New Brunswick across the Northumberland Strait. Opened in 1997, it is one of Canada’s most remarkable engineering landmarks.

We will overnight in Charlottetown at the Holman Grand Hotel. You will have the rest of the afternoon on your own to explore the town of Charlottetown. 🏨


Day 8 — Monday, October 18

Anne of Green Gables and Prince Edward Island Guided Tour 🌿

After an included breakfast, we will have a step-on guide for a tour featuring Anne of Green Gables and several beautiful Prince Edward Island stops. Step into the world of Anne of Green Gables at Green Gables Heritage Place, where you can explore the historic farmhouse and surrounding landscapes that inspired L. M. Montgomery’s classic novel. You will see the famous gardens, woodland trails, and picturesque countryside that capture the beauty and charm of Prince Edward Island.

We will also visit Victoria-by-the-Sea, a quaint fishing village where colorful heritage buildings, charming streets, and a peaceful harbor create the perfect Maritime setting. You can stroll through the village, browse local galleries and shops, enjoy fresh seafood, and take in beautiful views of the Northumberland Strait.

Other stops will include the waterfront, Greenwich Interpretation Centre, and St. Peters Bay. Greenwich is a beautiful coastal area within Prince Edward Island National Park, known for its expansive dunes, pristine beaches, wetlands, and unique natural landscapes. St. Peters Bay offers quiet coastal charm, beautiful views of the bay, and the relaxed pace of a traditional Maritime community. Tonight, we will spend the night again in Charlottetown. 🏨


Day 9 — Tuesday, October 19

Charlottetown to Baddeck, Nova Scotia ⛴️

After an included breakfast, we will drive to the Woods Islands–Caribou Ferry and take the ferry back toward Nova Scotia. We will then drive on to Baddeck, traveling the scenic Bras d’Or Lake route along the way.

Tonight, we will overnight in Baddeck at Auberge Gisele’s Inn. 🏨


Day 10 — Wednesday, October 20

Cabot Trail Guided Tour 🏔️

Today, we will have a step-on guide for the breathtaking Cabot Trail. Experience one of Canada’s most scenic coastal highways, surrounded by the mountains and Atlantic waters of Cape Breton Island.

As we travel along winding roads, you will enjoy panoramic views of rugged cliffs, deep valleys, forests, and the sea. We will stop at scenic overlooks, explore charming fishing communities, and enjoy the unforgettable landscapes of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. 📸


Day 11 — Thursday, October 21

Baddeck, Nova Scotia to Saint John, New Brunswick ⛴️

This morning, we will drive toward Saint John, New Brunswick. Along the way, we will travel the Evangeline Trail through the Annapolis Valley. The Evangeline Trail is a scenic route along Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy and Annapolis Valley, celebrated for dramatic coastal landscapes, tidal waters, historic Acadian communities, and beautiful countryside.

We will then take the Digby Ferry to Saint John, where we will spend the night. 🏨


Day 12 — Friday, October 22

Saint John, St. Andrews by-the-Sea, and Freeport, Maine 🌊

Today, we will drive to Freeport, Maine, with some sightseeing along the way. We will visit Reversing Falls, a famous natural phenomenon where the powerful tides of the Bay of Fundy temporarily reverse the flow of the Saint John River. This happens twice each day.

We will also drive to St. Andrews by-the-Sea, where you will have time for shopping, lunch, and exploring. On the way to Freeport, we will make a quick stop at the L.L.Bean Store. Tonight, we will spend the night in Freeport. 🛍️


Day 13 — Saturday, October 23

Freeport, Maine to Hartford, Connecticut 🚌

Today, we will drive to Hartford, Connecticut, with some stops along the way. We will stop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where you will have time to walk around, shop, visit the waterfront, and explore this charming coastal city.

Tonight, we will overnight in Hartford. 🏨


Day 14 — Sunday, October 24

Hartford, Connecticut to Hershey, Pennsylvania to Hagerstown, Maryland 🍫

Today, we will drive to Hershey, Pennsylvania, where we will enjoy the Hershey Trolley and have time to shop at Hershey’s Chocolate World. After our visit, we will drive on to Hagerstown, Maryland, where we will spend the night. 🍬


Day 15 — Monday, October 25

Hagerstown, Maryland to Home 🏡

Today, we will finish our journey home after a wonderful tour filled with coastal scenery, lighthouses, national parks, Canadian Maritime beauty, ferry rides, historic towns, and lasting memories. 🚌
